Network Engineer - EMEA esports, Production

As a Network Engineer on the EMEA esports Production team, you will manage the complete life cycle of our transport network and the network connectivity across EMEAs esports ecosystem spearheaded by LEC. This means you will assist with planning, deploying, and operating our existing infrastructure to give our players the best experience possible. An engineer with technical depth and a problem-solving mindset will excel in this role, as you will not only create solutions for daily tasks, but work as a team to identify broader engineering opportunities. You will report to the Infrastructure Tech Manager.

This role is based within the Riot Games office in Adlershof, Berlin and you will report to the EMEA esports engineering lead.

As part of your role you will travel approximately 30 days per year on the road for roadshows, training, trade shows.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot production issues at Riot scale
• Implement new solutions, and designs in a vendor-agnostic manner
• Contribute to the evolution of our network monitoring platforms
• Participate in long- and short-range technology planning

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience within network delivery and operational support
• In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack
• Experience with BGP
• Understanding of MLPS, IS-IS

Desired Qualifications:

• CCNP/JNCIP (enterprise routing/switching, data center/service provider focus)
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Ansible
• Experience with security appliances
